A glimpse into this week: Taste of Canton is today and tomorrow, May 22-23, in Downtown Canton. The Gervasi Piazzi officially opens this Friday the 24th, with a full menu. Rock the Lock at Lock 3 is Friday, May 24th at 7 p.m. The Indy 500 race is this Sunday, BAM! Healthy Cuisine, sandwiched between the UNhealthy new Winking Lizard and Handel’s Ice Cream, is OPEN in their new digs at Washington Square. Read More

The Blue Door, however, appeals to the bruch-snob in us in almost every way. They offer locally-sourced ingredients, house-made pastries and breads, a small, rotating menu (not 189 variations of breakfast combos to pick from), and a perfect mix of breakfast/brunch/lunch/sweets.
As a couple of girls who could easily live on bread and cheese, we love that their menu has a European flair – crepes suzette, raspberry almond pancakes, sausage and feta frittata, mussels & frites, a BLT on homemade croissant, etc. And wouldn’t you know – their kitchen staff all has chefs’ training.
